The full traverse takes 4–5 days and passes through Húsavík, Loðmundarfjörður and Seyðisfjörður, with mountain huts for overnight stays. The trails cross high passes, rugged coastal terrain and some of East Iceland's most dramatic uninhabited landscapes.
