Opened August 2019 as Reykjavík's first permanent street food hall. The warehouse was part of the Old Harbour industrial area (fish processing, cargo storage). Grandi district gentrified from 2010s onward — Marshall House arts centre, Omnom Chocolate factory, museums, Grandi Mathöll food hall.

Grandi Mathöll opened August 2019 in a converted warehouse at Grandagarður 16 in the Old Harbour Grandi district. The food hall operates daily 11:30–21:00 (Fri–Sat until 22:00), with 10–12 independent food vendors. **Typical vendors (rotate periodically):** - **Icelandic seafood:** Fish soup, lobster soup, fish & chips - **Icelandic lamb:** Burgers, slow-cooked lamb, pulled lamb - **International:** Thai curries, Indian, Mexican tacos, Vietnamese pho, Middle Eastern - **Pizza:** Wood-fired Neapolitan-style - **Vegan/Vegetarian:** Plant-based bowls, falafel - **Desserts:** Ice cream, waffles - **Drinks:** Craft beer bar featuring Icelandic breweries, wine, soft drinks Prices: 1,800–3,500 ISK per dish (significantly cheaper than sit-down restaurants).
