„Kapella St. Franciskusystra var vígð (blessuð) 8. desember 1935. Fransiskussystur komu til Stykkishólms árið 1935 til að stofna sjúkrahús, leikskóla, prentsmiðju og kapellu, sem var öllum opin. Kapellan var tileinkuð Maríu mey, hinni stöðugu hjálp vorri. Nýtt hús var byggt fyrir systurnar á sjöunda áratugnum og einnig ný kapella. Þarna er prestur, sem sinnir systrunum og katólikkum í bænum og nágrenninu. Ný kapella í Sjúkrahúsinu í Stykkishólmi var vígð 1994. Vígsluna annaðist herra Ólafur Skúlason, biskup, sem flutti bæn, blessun og ræðu við það tækifæri. Breytingar urðu á klausturstarfinu eftir mitt ár 2009, þegar Maríusystur tóku við af fjórum Fransiskussystrum, sem voru eftir.“
