„Valhúsahæð var friðlýst sem náttúruvætti árið 1998. Á Valhúsahæð er rákað berg eftir ísaldarjökul. Þaðan er víðsýnt um Faxaflóa. Hæðin ber nafn sitt af húsum sem fyrr á öldum geymdu veiðifálka Danakonungs. Valhúsahæð er hæsti staður á Seltjarnarnesi í 31 m hæð yfir sjó. Á Valhúsahæð er graslendi, lítt grónir melar, mólendistorfur og votlendisblettir. Stærð náttúruvættisins er 1,7 ha.“
