3 hour Private Horse Riding Tour in Mosfellsdalur
*Escape the crowds - private tour* Experience the Icelandic horse tradition on a small farm, located just 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. Despite being so close to the city, you will feel like you are deep in the countryside when you arrive at the farm. There just a small number of horses here and tours are always operated just for you and your private group, so that they have an intimate, personal and authentic feel. We will take you on a horse riding tour to mosfellsdale, where you can admire the scenery while spending time with our friendly horses. This tour is an excellent tour for those with some good riding experience, who want to take on a little bit longer and more challenging ride. Due to the length of the ride there will be plenty of time to try the different gaits and really get to know the Icelandic horse and explore the environment that has shaped him into what he is to day. - Minimum age is 12 years
- Any cruise ship passengers wishing to take the tour must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
- Important: Due to the comfort of the horses, unfortunately passengers weighing over 100kg will not be able to take part in the tour
- Dress according to weather
- Please note that any unwashed riding gear is not allowed to be brought into Iceland from abroad
- This is for riders with previous riding experience
- Comfortable riding shoes are recommend or walking shoes/ good sneakers
- The easiest way to get to our farm is to take bus no 15 from Reykjavík to us
- If a rider is not following instructions, is not capable of riding or if guides feel insecure about taking a guest for a riding tour - the tour might be cancelled, with out refund.
- Guest must be fit to mount and dismount the horse without stepping stool
- Guest must weigh less than 100kg
- Not recommended for those with allergy for horses, dogs or grass
