Your 2-day winter adventure begins in Reykjavík as you travel west to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in Miniature” for its diverse landscapes. Discover volcanic craters, rugged coastlines, black sand beaches, and the impressive Snæfellsjökull Glacier. Visit Kirkjufell Mountain and Djúpalónssandur Beach, then explore the traditional fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, known for their basalt cliffs, sea arches, and coastal scenery. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the region’s geology, history, and wildlife. After a day of sightseeing, relax at a countryside hotel. If weather and solar conditions are favourable, you may have an opportunity to see the Northern Lights away from city lights. Continue exploring the peninsula before returning to Reykjavík at approximately 8:00 PM, depending on road and weather conditions.
