South Coast and Northern Lights: Private Day Tour from Reykjavik

A full private day on the South Coast with a northern lights hunt on the drive back to Reykjavik. Groups of 1-3 travel in a sedan, groups of up to 8 in a van, with your own local driver-guide and no one else on board. Your guide meets you at your Reykjavik accommodation with a VAREN name tablet, and water is available on request. You walk behind Seljalandsfoss, stand at the foot of Skógafoss, walk to the edge of the Sólheimajökull glacier and see the basalt columns of Reynisfjara black sand beach before a stop in Vík. After dark your guide follows the forecast and stops where the sky is clearest to look for the aurora on the way back. The day lasts about 12 hours, and the order of stops may change with weather or road conditions. A sighting cannot be guaranteed and there is no retry or refund if the lights do not appear. One price per vehicle.
