Silver Circle Adventure - Glacier Tunnel & Hvammsvik Hot Springs

A private day on West Iceland's Silver Circle, just for your group. Your driver-guide picks you up at your Reykjavik accommodation with a VAREN name tablet and helps with your bags. See Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, and Reykholt, home of the saga writer Snorri Sturluson. Watch clear water pour out of the lava at Hraunfossar and rush through the gorge at Barnafoss. From Húsafell a glacier truck takes you up Langjökull for Into the Glacier, a man-made ice tunnel between walls of blue ice. On the way home, relax for up to 1.5 hours at Hvammsvík Hot Springs by the fjord while your guide waits. Tickets are paid per person; we reserve them for you. Water on request. Choose a private sedan for 1-3 travellers or a private van for up to 8. One price per vehicle.

What to expect

• Please count everyone in your group, including children and infants, as everyone needs their own seat.
• Arriving by cruise ship? This is a long day, so please check your ship's all-aboard time before you book. We plan the start time and the route around it, so you are back at the port well before all-aboard time.
• This is a full day of about 12 hours door to door.
• The Into the Glacier ticket is required and paid per person on top of the tour price. We reserve your time slot and plan the pickup time around it.
• The ice tunnel visit starts in Húsafell and takes about 3.5 to 4 hours, including the ride up the glacier. It is cold inside the ice, crampons are provided. Bring a warm jacket, hat and gloves.
• Hvammsvík tickets are optional and paid per person. We reserve them for you. Bring a swimsuit and towel.
• Hvammsvík welcomes guests aged 10 and over; guests under 18 must be with an adult.
• The tour involves easy walks on uneven paths that can be wet or icy, so it is not suitable for guests with serious mobility limitations.
• Children are welcome. Parents or guardians look after their children during the tour.
